About Us

Fire Extinguisher and Supply was established in 1940 by George Cyrus and Florence De Marcay. The business was located in the 200 block of Decatur St. in the heart of the French Quarter. The business grew over the years and relocated to our current location at 1301 Magazine Street in the Garden District in 1971. Joseph Arroyo Jr purchased the business from his Aunt Florence in 1987, and is the current President. His son, Chris Arroyo Sr., joined the company in 1995 and began a career in the family business. Joe's grandson, Chris Arroyo Jr., joined the company in 2019 in hopes of one day continuing the legacy.
